INTERNAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – NORTH RIFT AREA MANAGER

Job Summary:

Amiran Kenya wishes to recruit for the position of Area Manager, within the Chemfert Department. Reporting to the Head of Agribusiness, the incumbent’s role will be based in North Rift.

Responsibilities include;

- Administrative
o Collecting data from Agronomists and submitting a monthly demo/training plan to ensure minimum requirements are met.
o Ensuring reports for all events are submitted by Agronomists within agreed deadlines.
o Ensuring weekly reports from the field are sent through to the office on agreed deadlines.
o Monitoring leave taken by field staff (both sick leave and recreational) and informing the office and HR department promptly, and ensuring appropriate documentation is provided.
o Hosting regional meetings to discuss sales progress, HR matters, and development of the region
o Preparing reviews and updates each quarter to present at quarterly meetings.

- Sales and Accounts
o Assisting agronomists with meeting their monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
o Keeping Agrovets and stockists informed of targets and their progress in achieving these
o When accounts are closed or on stop list, leading communication with the office for resolution.
o Collecting majority payments from the field and submitting to office through G4S
o Managing collections, sales and relationships with key clients from their region

- Business Development
o Collecting full stock range from key clients within the region for competitive analysis and pricing negotiations
o Maintaining records of agrovet stock levels of Amiran Products, and assisting with movement and prioritization to help shift any slow moving product, including explanation of FIFO principle to Agrovets to prevent ageing stock.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Agro chemical industry or Flower farm
• IT literacy

• Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Excellent and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing
• Valid Driving License.
• Willing to travel widely.
• Able to work in a team.
