Dizengoff Ghana – Motorola Solutions

Dizengoff Ghana’s communications Division organized two weeks of training for its customers as well as its staff. The two training sessions which lasted a week at a time took place at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Accra and ended on 30th May 2015.

As part of the training, Dizengoff Ghana brought in a Motorola trainer from Danimex in Denmark who facilitated the practical training course in Motorola Solutions on Advanced Digital MotoTRBO systems. Johnni Bundgaard, the trainer, labeled Motorola’s two-way radios as the standard to which others aspire to get to in terms of their robustness, reliability, efficiency, effectiveness and safety.

According to the General Manager of the Communications Division, Mr. Patrick Attia, “Training our staff and customers is a very vital part of the work we do here at Dizengoff Ghana because our work is not done if the customer is not well resourced to effectively and efficiently communicate as he should.” He added that timely and vital communications were a strong driving force of all industries and that Motorola radios are designed with a robust mix of features to increase workforce efficiency, productivity and safety.

The participants of the two training sessions, who are employees of Oil companies, Mining Companies, Security agencies as well as Non-Governmental Organizations, expressed their satisfaction with the practical and very informative nature of the training. They were hopeful and confident of their renewed ability to perform better in their various fields.

Dizengoff Ghana exhibits at solar energy fair
Dizengoff’s Chromagen Solar Water Heaters were put on display at a Solar Energy Fair held at the National Theatre in Accra. The three-day fair attracted both individuals and businesses looking to explore the endless opportunities that solar energy has to offer.

One of Ghana’s biggest television networks was there to interview businesses and visitors alike and spoke to Dizengoff Ghana’s PR Manager who spoke passionately about the need to supplement power with renewable energy sources whether in our homes, schools or workplaces in order to reduce the reliance on hydro-electric power.

The solar energy fair comes at a time when Ghana is going through a power crisis and many Ghanaians are therefore looking to invest in such renewable energy sources.

AGRIC DIVISION

Dizengoff Ghana sponsors 1st National Agric Summit
The 1st National Agric Summit organized by FAGRO in conjunction with the Ministry of Food and Agric was held on the 8th of July 2015 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. Dizengoff Ghana was one of the main sponsors of this event where we had dignitaries in attendance such as the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Honourable Fiifi Kwetey, The Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, Hannah Bissiw, The Brazilian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Irene Vida Gala, renowned politicians, agriculturists, heads of various departments at the Ministries, farmers and farmer group representatives from across the country.

Several topics for discussion were brought to the fore and the various resource persons spoke on the issues and the invitees asked questions at the end of each discussion. Dizengoff Ghana’s Dr. Costanzo Garello, General Manager, Agric Division spoke on the need for Ghanaians to inculcate modern forms of farming such as the use of irrigation and Agric machinery which would ultimately make farming easier for women and the youth and also increase productivity which will lead to better food security in the long run.
